Don’t underestimate caring for your legs and feet. Remember, it’s your feet that carry you all day long. So make time for them and give them the right care. Let them rest, massage them, remove old skin, hydrate them and nourish their skin. How do you do it?

How to properly care for your feet and toenails

The basis of foot care is regularity. Make time every day and apply foot cream to your feet. Once a week, treat your feet to a warm bath and remove old skin. To remove old skin, you can use a pumice stone, or a foot file, a special pedicure blade or an electric device. A great solution is foot masks, which will do the job for you while you relax.

Once a week, also use a foot scrub. It not only removes dead skin cells, but also softens the skin on your feet.

Don’t forget regular toenail care either. First remove old nail varnish, then trim your nails straight across with scissors or clippers so they don’t become ingrown. Use a nail file for the final shaping. Do not cut the cuticles, just gently push them back towards the nail bed.

Special foot care

  • Regularly apply a moisturising gel to your legs and feet, e.g. an aloe gel. It will give your feet not only hydration and nourishment, but is also great for soothing the skin after sunbathing or after shaving. You can find the range HERE
  • After a demanding day at work when you haven’t even sat down, or after an all-day trip, treat your feet to a warm bath.
  • Try a sheet foot mask that removes dead skin, nourishes and softens your feet. How do you use such a mask? First wash and dry your feet, then apply the mask (wrap your feet in the sheet). Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes and massage your feet for a better effect. The nourishing liquid contained in the sheet mask will absorb into the skin more effectively. Finally, remove the sheets from your feet. Your feet will be soft, nourished and hydrated.
  • Don’t underestimate choosing the right footwear; in summer, try to walk barefoot sometimes. You’ll see your feet will appreciate it.
