Coloured contact lenses are becoming increasingly popular among both young people and adults. They allow you to change your eye colour quickly and effectively and create an original look. There are two basic types of coloured lenses - prescription and non-prescription.
Prescription coloured contact lenses are intended for those who need to correct their vision. Their main purpose is to correct refractive errors of the eye, such as short-sightedness, long-sightedness, astigmatism or presbyopia. However, in addition to vision correction, prescription coloured contact lenses also have an aesthetic effect - they change the colour of the eyes.
In contrast, non-prescription coloured contact lenses serve purely aesthetic purposes. They are suitable for those who do not have any refractive errors and simply want to change their eye colour. These lenses have no prescription power and do not correct vision.
Both options are produced in a wide range of colours and shades, so there really is something for everyone.
It is also important to mention that coloured lenses, like regular contact lenses, require proper care and hygiene. They must be cleaned regularly and stored in disinfecting solution. Before handling lenses, it is also essential to have clean hands.
