A month until Halloween: do you know what you’ll be this year?

Halloween is slowly but surely approaching. There’s only a month left until an evening full of costumes, masks, parties and a slightly suspicious amount of fake blood. So here comes the important question: do you already know what you’ll be this year?

Vampire? Witch? Demon? Zombie? A character from a film or series? Or are you planning a costume that only the third person will understand after five minutes of explaining?

Whatever you’re planning, right now is the ideal time to start putting the whole outfit together. Because we all know how it ends when you’re sorting out a Halloween costume on the afternoon of 31 October.

The costume is the foundation. But the details decide

You can have perfect make-up, a well-thought-out costume and a hairstyle that took more time than revising for your A-levels. And still, something can be missing.

Often, it’s the eyes.

Coloured contact lenses and Halloween Contact Lenses can change your whole facial expression and add that final detail to your costume that makes everything work together.

Red eyes for a vampire? Of course.

White lenses for a ghost or zombie? Even better.

Black, yellow or vividly coloured contact lenses for a demon, witch or fantasy character? Exactly the detail that can turn a good costume into the kind people keep coming back to during the evening with the question: “Wait… are those your eyes?”

Halloween Contact Lenses as the cherry on top

Some costumes are instantly recognisable. With others, it’s the little things that decide.

That’s where Halloween contact lenses can be the proverbial cherry on top. Or if you prefer – the final drop of fake blood.

Changing your eye colour can, surprisingly, transform your whole look. You don’t have to spend hours in front of the mirror or study a ten-part special effects tutorial.

You just need to choose the right lenses for your costume.

Which coloured lenses are suitable for Halloween?

It mainly depends on what result you want to achieve.

For a classic vampire, red contact lenses are a great choice. If you’re planning a zombie or a ghost, you can go for white or very light lenses. For demonic costumes, bold black, red or yellow options work well.

And of course, Halloween doesn’t have to mean horror only.

Coloured lenses can also be used for cosplay, fantasy costumes, or film and series characters. Blue, green, grey, purple or other striking shades can take your look in a completely different direction.

Sometimes you don’t even need to change the whole costume. Just change the eyes and suddenly there’s someone completely different standing in the mirror.

Which, for Halloween, is pretty much exactly the plan.

Don’t leave choosing your costume until the last minute

A month might seem like plenty of time.

It isn’t.

First you tell yourself Halloween is still ages away. Then suddenly it’s mid-October. And in the end you’re standing in a shop the day before the party, holding a plastic cobweb and wondering whether you could maybe be a “minimalist spider”.

If you already have an idea for your costume, now is the perfect time to sort out the details too.

Choose your costume, make-up, accessories and of course coloured or Halloween Contact Lenses to finish the whole look.

So what will you be this year?

Maybe you’ve had this year’s Halloween costume planned for ages. Maybe for now it only exists as a very vague plan like “something scary”.

Both are fine.

But one thing is certain: Halloween is only a month away.

So now’s the right time to open the wardrobe, let your imagination run wild and start planning.

And if you want to add a detail to your costume that will really stand out, take a look at our range of coloured contact lenses and Halloween Contact Lenses.

But when your gaze matches it too, that’s when it really works.
